THE PRACTICE
Between
Control & Surrender
Participants prepare and release colors onto a surface,
then respond through tilting, turning, and attentive observation.
As colors merge, separate, and reorganize, unexpected patterns emerge
evoking water, stone, auroras, planetary surfaces, and distant galaxies.
I. Prepare the Field
Choose and mix each color, balancing the materials while arriving through sensory awareness & intention.
II. Pour & Release
Layer and release the colors onto the surface, allowing gravity and fluidity to initiate the composition.
III. Drive the Flow
Tilt, turn, and gently move the surface. Observe how the materials respond and let each movement answer the movement already unfolding.
IV. Meet your Cosmos
Recognize when to intervene and when to pause. Allow the composition to spread, settle, and crystallize through its own internal relationships.
